Don Mee Choi reads from her collection The Morning News is Exciting, soon to be published by Action Books. Born in South Korea and arriving in the United States via Hong Kong, she translated the anthology Anxiety of Words: Contemporary Poetry by Korean Women, as well as two books by Kim Hyesoon — When the Plug Gets Unplugged and Mommy Must Be a Fountain of Feathers.

Craig Santos Perez presents his volume From Unincorporated Territory, published by Tinfish Press. A native Chamoru from the Pacific Island of Guahan (Guam), he has lived in California since 1995. He is a PhD candidate in Comparative Ethnic Studies at UC Berkeley, co-founder of Achiote Press, and the author of several chapbooks.

Open Books: A Poem Emporium is a bookstore in Seattle, WA devoted to poetry and poetry-related titles. Our inventory, now at over 9,000 titles and growing, includes new, used, and out-of-print books from a wide variety of publishers. We also carry a selection of poetry audio tapes, compact discs, and video tapes. We strive to keep our shelves eclectic and welcome suggestions for additions to the stock.
