Pacific Poets Reading, DeYoung Museum, 10/22/10, San Francisco!

October 22: Pacific Poets in Performance Night presents the best in Pacific Islander poetry of the Bay Area.

Samoan Art: Urban is a group exhibition including works by Dan Taulapapa McMullin, Marlaina Key, Siliga David Setoga, Greg Semu, Niki Hastings-McFall, Shigeyuki Kihara, Taniela Taniela, Lonnie Hutchinson, and Rosanna Raymond. Moving image by Lonnie Hutchinson, Angela Tiatia, Janet Lilo, Marlon Rivers, Michel Tuffery, and Lisa Taouma: a snapshot of the contemporary art by Niu Pasifik artists working in the diaspora. As part of Samoan Art: Urban, Samoan artist Dan Taulapapa McMullin will work in the Artist Studio on *O Tino Sa—Sacred Bodies*, a series of paintings based on the communal body of Oceania.
For their support in the development of these works, the artist wishes to thank the de Young Museum, University of California–Irvine, Pacific Art Association, University of the South Pacific, and Oceania Centre for the Arts.
